Cause i was facing my friends taurus and i beat him by 2 car lengths and cause i was shifting. I also have an auto. His is auto but he can't shift like we can. yeah i'm gonna have to say it was the difference in gear ratios, damn automatics gotta mess everything up for gas mileage
