Cause i was facing my friends taurus and i beat him by 2 car lengths and cause i was shifting. I also have an auto. His is auto but he can't shift like we can. SO i think that's why we can pull a lil on auto cars which don't have that feature or the people don't know how to use it.

Gear ratios.
The gearing on the Accord allows faster acceleration than the tC, and with similar HP (with your mods especially), and curb weights, thats what let you take the lead, and keep it.
