the ****in intake says V4 V6, do u need somebody to slap u in the face with a sign that says "piece of shit" before u realize that it's crap? there's no such thing as a V4, and how the **** are they gonna sell one intake for two engines...and u have to ask if that thing is a good idea?

i dont understand you people, intakes are loud to begin with espeically when u "mash the gas"
and how the hell can u not install an intake? its pretty much plug and play (unless u re enlraging the hole for the piping like on a 4th gen...)

Ended up buying one of these babies (the cheapest for this item on eBay, was shipped the next day). It's not CAI but it's still pretty good. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...RK%3AMEWA%3AIT

hey guys, well a friend of mine and me have installed the new AEM intake today (see eBay link above). Check this out!!
I bid on an AEM short ram intake, and have bought it for the cheapest price I've seen anywhere. It gets better: the model number for it is 22-511. So I opened the box that came today, and what do I see? 21-511!! which happens to be a CAI. MSRP difference between CAI and short ram is $70-80, and I got it for the same price as short ram cause the model #s look so close.
I will post pictures later, but so far it's blowing my mind. I feel like I'm driving a V6, although I know it's not true, but it really feels faster.
P.S. Order from that guy on eBay, maybe he won't notice the model # difference again...

Since I have had bad experiences with intake installs (maybe the intake and the car dying was unrelated with my older jetta), I'd like to make sure everything is how it's supposed to be. Anything I should check or be especially concerned about? Thanks
