Default Side mirrors don't move outward but move inward and up & down?

Side mirrors don't move outward but move inward and up & down? I have a 6th gen accord and I have an extended warranty, anybody can think of what it could be, or has ever experienced this?

Heh...the biggest difference I saw between my old job at VW/Audi and my new job as a Honda tech, was the LACK of electrical failures I'm seeing with Honda. There are a few once in a while, but certainly not as much as a german car. I dealt with electrical problems all day long working for VW. With honda, it's more mechanical maintenance than anything else.

It could be the switch or the mirror motor. You have to see if you have power leaving the switch when it's pressed in the out position.

My mom's old 6th gen used to do the same exact thing. Any 6th gen owners have an insight into this?

I've seen them have a problem at the switch and the little motor that oves it in the side mirror assembly.

Sometimes ours has that, but you can hear the motor running. So ours is somthing like sticky pivots on the mirror itself. Someday I'm gonna have to pull the glass off & look at it...

Does your mirror's motor run? If so, it's not the switch or the wiring.
