Anyone ever change their power steering fluid. 6th gen
i got a 6th gen sedan, 4 cyl (auto) anyone ever change the power steering fluid? how many miles can you go without changing it? when i was at a local auto store, i looked at synthetic power steering fluid and when you read the back, it clearly states "Not to be used on Honda/Acura vehicles" !!!!! go figure..... so we got hit the dealer for the power steering fluid as well... but there was this other brand, that stated for honda/acura only. if you wanted to change the fluid, how do you do it? do you siphon out the old fluid or bleed the system from somewhere? do you have to worry about air getting into the system?

I have seen this first hand. If you use power steering fluid that is not made for Honda's, get ready to buy a new power steering pump.
Somebody I know went through pumps over and over again until I told him to use the Honda fluid. After that, he never had to change it again.

I have never changed mine and it is not listed as a required maintenance item. I have almost 70K miles on my 98 Accord V6, and the steering works just fine.
