My exhaust tips on my 1990 accord ex started rattling. The bolt on the back of them appears to be rusted and I can't tighten them. Any thoughts? The tips new from the dealer are $37 a piece which isn't too bad...I need some floor mats too. I have a cream interior but the mats are brown ( maybe from fading - probably started out black) Was that the factory color?

 

Get some PB Buster (better than WD-40) and soak those bolts in it...spray it all over them. Try to get them off after that. Then it's just a re-tightening job. Maybe get some new ones since those seem to be so rusted?

 

after that, u should do the mod that i did on my exhaust tips, looks hella nice.

of course... i hope you like them, took me about a month using dremel and bead blaster. it still kinda moves around when u push it with your finger but has not came off nor rattled for about a month.
