Freshly painted valve cover...(pics)
It took a while to do, but I painted CORRECTLY. The first picture is what the first one turned out looking like after a few months.
The second pic is my new one that I took forever to do (very thin coats over a long period of time so that everything cured right). For the letters, I just sanded all the paint off with very small pieces of fairly fine sandpaper.

Next time use some clear coat.
I'm just teasing, it came out nice. Your heat shield is begging for some TLC. You ever think about maybe painting it flat black or something. Ah hell, call me a ricer but I think it's an idea.

when i went to homedepot, all hightemp (the ones that can withstand 1200 degress or higher) had no gloss colors, only dull. ive painted my heatshield flat black already.
