Default Brembo CD/slotted...rotors,..,..brake pad life?

What would be a good brake pad to use on brembo cd/slotted rotors?
Im using Axxis MEtal Masters and Im thinking of changing my rotors to brembo cross drilled.

I've heard that the slotted rotors kill the life of my pads since the slots shave off a layer of the pad.

If this is a street/daily driven car, there's no real need to switch to a cross drilled/slotted rotor. A flat faced "blank" rotor will be all you need ... AutoZone rotors work just fine, or you can go with the Brembo blanks.

True that the rotors will decrease your pad life. However, you will see a decrease in your stopping distances. I love my cross drilled/slotted rotors with my AEM pads. I guess it all depends on personal preference. Do I really need the cross drilled/slotted rotors? No. Do they stop like a mutha? Yes.

Yeah I bought a package. They came with AXXis Metal Masters.
Now that I already purchased these rotors I feel like buying just basic cross drilled rotors.
I have a feeling I have to change my pads and the rotors were installed like 2 months ago.
With my upcoming drive down to Miami, I want to make sure I have enough meat on them pads to last me at least another 5,000 miles.

Once I return Ill buy some cross drilled or blanks and sell the CD/Slotted ones.

Your pads should last long enough. I've been driving with my AEM pads since July '03 and with the CD/Slotted rotors since December '03. So far so good.
