Today I pulled out on a main road my car was laggin going 20 and slowly slowly climbing. I pulled into a parking lot my car wouldn't climb past 2,500 rpm's. turned the car off then pullled back out and it was fine I pulled past 5,000 1st, 2nd, and third gear. My happens when its hot and cold when I first pull out or sometimes when im stopped at a light or something. This moring I was going up a incline on a road to work and I had no power to even get up man I was lagging hard 20-30 and couldn't go any faster.RYounk007 yours a 95 too?

I am having the same issue between about 2300 and 4000 rpms, I have not found a fix for it. Still looking. But I am more concerned about my oil pressure light that came on for about 10 min then went out. Once I get that situated I will continue on this issue. I have also tried all things posted up so far with no luck.

I have an appointment with honda on thursday, I will let you know what they say. Some times I can turn my car off then start it again and its not as bad, weird problem and it sucks that there is a few of us with this. Still looking into this and will update you after honda looks @ my car and checks the ecu for codes.

ok back from the honda dealer ($40.00 later) got checked for codes, I got
12-egr valve lift
14-o2 sensor
the mechanic told me that my egr valve is probably clogged. Guess how much the part is? $189.13 from honda. Does anyone know where I can pick one of these up for alot cheaper? Part # is 18011-POB-A00. The reason why the o2 sensor kicked in the ecu code is because I don't have one in the header, my dc headers dont have a spot for one and I didnt want to drill a hole. So I think that everyone that is having the same problem needs to check for codes and will have to replace the egr valve as well? Nikon44 & RYounk007 I belive you have the same problem as I do. If, and when I find a good price on the egr valve I will let you guys know.

So what does the egr lift valve do? Seems like my engine knock (like a ticking) could be related to valve clearance. So I'm not sure if replacing this and possibly getting the valves (valve clearance) adjusted at the same time could solve both problems.

Let me know what you guys think.

Sounds like all the symptoms of a clogged exhaust...probably the catalytic converter. Lack of power is one of the giveaways.

good idea accordvtec77, i totally forgot about the exhaust all this time, happened to me in my 88 jetta and the symptoms were about the same. I just put it up on the lift and put a crowbar through the cat...ran like a champ after that...
