No water in the motor, it did rain while I was driving it. It is just hard to explain sometimes its fine, then sometimes I can't get it to go anywhere. Doesnt run rough @ idle but is just hesitant, you could put your foot to the floor and only feels like 10% throttle, like its got some power low rpm's then about 3k it boggs hard. Sometimes its just any gear any speed any rpm!

I put fuel injector cleaner in and its still bad. Major power loss all throught rpm and any mph. Its hard to even get up to 40mph, its boggin bad. Sometimes its fine im in first and rev up to 6,800 then second gear it starts out fine then just boggs and car just lags bad. Power loss from fuel somewhere?? I guess I'll check my spark plugs and how much do you think a compression test will be?? This sucks

Check codes like said before. Check the plugs to make sure they aren't fouled up. I had a similar issue with mine last year and she would just act like she didn't want to go anywhere. Turned out to be the spark plugs.

Spark plugs are fine. Another wierd thing is even when I have it in neutral I press the gas and it is so slow reving. I usally could just push the pedal and have it rev up. Now I can even hold down the gas to the floor and It takes for ever for it to even get past 3,000 rpm's. I just took it for a drive and it lagged hard, down my main street it took for ever to get up to 40mph I have disconnected the negative and left it off from my battery to reset my ecu. There is no connecter behind the ashtray to check for codes.

Or something in that neighborhood? I wish I could explain it better other than it’s like someone holding my car back or something, bogging through rpm/mph.. It would take forever to get the car up past 40mph. It's hard to pull out cuz you don't know if your going to get in front of the car and lagg going hella slow. Wtf ?
Any one know of any suggestions or answers?
Thanks,

my old hoopty used to do that until I junked it.
The problem I encountered was with the fuel pump.
My fuel pump went like 7 times on my hoopty in a matter of 1 yr.
Everytime i was about to go it would suffer the same symptons your experiencing. At the end there was a short in the line that kept frying the pump.

Hmm I thought either the fuel pump worked or it didn't? I didn't know it could be a on and off thing like this. I left my neg off the battery overnight to reset the ecu and it doesn't seem to be doing it as bad but is still doing it. Does anyone know where the fuel pump is located or how to test it? I hope its not in the damn gas tank I still can't find the connect to get the ecu checked for codes Thanks guys

Same Prob
I've got the same problem. Lags and will not rev when I first pull into the street. I only notice this when I first pull out on the street (ie. I've just started my car). But it happens whether the engine is warm or cold. Never while I'm driving it though.
I've been running fuel injector cleaner through it with every oil change since I got it.
I was thinking fuel pump too. I've replaced my spark plugs somewhat recently, and the problem only happens when I first get in my car.
I don't believe I have a connector behind my ashtry either.
I believe the fuel pump is in the back of the trunk (near the back seat). Lower the trunk passthrough into the cabin, and remove the trunk liner from there. I think you'll see where it is (on the passenger side). Correct me if I'm wrong.
Any more suggestions would be great.
