What would i have to do to get about 200 HP out of My 89 Honda Accord LX 98 HP. I DO not want a bigger engine, just upgrade and update it. I know i will need a turbo, Cold air intake, good muflers, new sparks plugs, roater, ignition, racing clutch, and convert engine to Fuel Injection. Will this get me to 200HP or close to it and about how much does this cost?

how many miles are on your car?????? It might not be a good idea to start throwing money into it if it will just break later on down the road. To reach 200 hp, i am assumeing yours is carbuerated, you would have to spend lots of time and lots of money. I think they make some great carbs for your car. In fact i have heard of gains of up to around 30 hp from just a carb. Anyway ask around in the engine tech forum and ask some of the vets

I hope you meant to say 20HP cause I think that car only comes with 20 hp........j/k....
I think alot of work will be required to get that engine up there.

The best bet and quickest way is to do an engine swap.

I think it would be cheaper to buy a car with 200 HP. You are talking about an 89! with less than 100 horsepower. I hope you have a lot of cash, and I'm assuming you dont if you are driving an 89. Good luck if you decide to go for it.

Engine swap is the easiest way to go IMO. It may be costly but it'll produce better results then going all motor on your '89.

The cheapest way to get the most power at a relatively low price (...and I'm not saying that this is a good idea) is to get nitrous. Engine won't last long with a huge shot, but you'll meet your 200hp goal.

It can be done, it just takes time and money. Check out 3geez.com Theres a few kids with motor swaps like a b18c1, b16a, and even an ls/vtec. So it can be done. There is even a turbo kit being out together. Everything can be done with $$$$$
