this is a stupid story but i'll tell it anyway:

in 1995 I bought a brand new Integra GS-R (that was stolen in 1997 anyway). Im sitting in a parking lot waiting for my g/f to come out from the mall and some dum ho pulls up and BAM.. opened her door so hard into my car it rocked it. So i jump out and im like hi, you just nailed my poor new car and she actually said 'sucks to be you' ... i happened to be wearing boots that day so i kicked the **** out of her SUV's door 4 times .. backedup and moved to another spot
LMAO

hehe... alotta times those cars are owned by stuffy old people that could care less about slamming their heavy-ass german door against someones car... or some spoiled brat that doesnt even kno wat a door ding is.... i think its safest to park next to another fixed up import

haha, i totally agree.

Some of the things that JonHsiung said are also what I go by. About the small door deal, two door car next to you=park farther away from. If in the end you have to park next to two crappy cars for some reason, go closer to the left one, chances are better that they might not have a passenger. Best advice, park by yourself at the end of the parking lot close to a curb, and stay away from places that have shopping cart return areas.

good advice guys on how-to park. i cant believe that ***** said that, i would have keyed her for sure. Some people i dont see how they can be that way. but I always watch my door, its been a habit since i was little. Always was real careful, even if I had to park real close and could barely fit I'd squeeze my fat ass out and my door would never touch theirs. But also, at work, I always park the furthest away as possible. and alot of the times at malls, the nicest cars you can see are parked furthest away.

Say away from big sedans like the continental and crown victoria tht old senile people drive, they usually swing the doors open, and like they said, AVOID MINIVANS!!! Those ****ers always cause trouble

here's my story:

i was parked pretty far away, and the space was really big because it was beside a small tree (no birds would want to sit on it) and they couldn't make 2 spots so it ended up being 1 big spot. maybe 1 1/2 regular size stalls. i pulled up right beside the tree so there was a good distance between the other car any ways, there were no cars at this time, when i come back from doing my stuff, no cars but a freaking dent. took me 7 days to get it...it was a brand new car to...haha

sucks to be me!

So you're the guy that keeps parking next to me. I swear that everytime I park way the f*ck out in any lot all by myself I always get someone else in a hooked up import, parking right next to me. I've come out of SuperK a ton of times after parking way out by myself and there's like 4-5 imports parked right next to me. even tho I know they care about their cars and probably wouldn't ding me it still kinda pisses me off. Whenever a modded Honda parks by me but a space or 2 away i always want to leave a note saying thanks for not parking right next to me, I 'preciate it brother. Seriously tho, every single time. I've just chalked it up to the fact that my car is super awesome and it attracts all of the upscale modded cars.

Hahah. If I saw another hooked up import park next to me, I'd be honored to know that they understand door dings as much as I do. I like seeing other imports park next to me.

Personally, I like parking next to EX V6 Accord Coupes. They generally know about door dings and they're usually the older generation driving them. The sedans are another story. They usually have kids. Damn kids.

On other news today, I witnessed a hit and run accident today on Colima and I got his license plate down and gave it to the victim. Muahaha. Someone's gonna fryyyy.... (but yes, I know it's most likely stolen or unlicensed)
