Koni Yellows & Ride quality??

Okay, there are actually 2 "editions" of koni yellow shocks. The normal ones have 3 perches, with the middle being "neutral height". Each perch is 15mm up or down from neutral so if you set your springs at the LOWER perch, that's an additional 15mm lower.
Then there's the Neuspeed Edition Koni Yellows that have 5 perches. Similar idea...the middle perch is neutral, but the thing now is, the highest perch is 15mm up, the lowest perch is 15mm lower. So, with the Neuspeed editions, you get an extra perch that lowers 7.5mm then one more to get 15mm. The Neuspeeds are harder to find, and usually cost a little more.
By the way 15mm is bout 0.59" which is a lot. Keep in mind that any aftermarket suspension will settle..meaning that the height it rests at when you first install is higher than it'll end up being...how much it settles depends on what parts you have, but people typically say "give it another 0.25inch"

Price?
So I called my local shop, and this is the price they quoted me for the Neuspeed Koni Yellows (5 height settings), to install on my 95 Accord:
$139.20 per shock
$98 for install
So the shocks are costing $556, and to get them installed, it would be $655. What do you guys think about that price?
Thanks.

That's a good price...I paid $560 last spring for mine, and that was the cheapest I could find them. I installed mine, but that install price is good.
As for your original question... On my '99, with the shocks set to full soft, it is still just a bit stiffer than it was with my stock shocks. But it was a small enough difference that my wife didn't notice until I pointed it out. But even at full soft, the ride is much better dampened with the Konis vs stock shocks.

That's an OK price. I got mine for right around $500 shipped from Rob at www.tornactive.com You might want to check with him. Grab a couple of friends and install them yourself ... not only to save on labor costs, but to learn more about the suspension overall. There's a good spring/shock "how to" that I can send to you if you're interested.

Hey guys,
I finally got my Neuspeed edition Koni Yellows on my 5th gen Accord. I'm also dropped with Eibach sportlines, and just got some new Falken ZE512. I'm LOVING these Koni Yellows: the ride quality is GREAT.
