2004 Accord ????
i currently drive a 2000prelude 5sp and i'm thinking of getting a new car.
possibly a 2004 accord ex 4cl. auto or an altima or a mazda-6.
i was just wondering for those who drive the new accord, how is the new accord? power? handling? etc?.. Thank you.

about a new car
hey men why u want a new car, u have a prelude rite now and u want to get 2004 accord 4 cyl.. i think ur better think about it first  cuz ur car rite now is better than the 2004 accord 4 cyl.. (IMO)and if u really want a new car just get the v6 accord 6 speed not the 4 cyl.. if ur looking for power v6 6 speed accord is the way to go, much faster than ur prelude cuz im planning to get v6 accord coupe or TSX maybe this fall cuz i want more power and im paying too much for my car rite now and i think is not worth it for the money . So as far as rite now better think it through about getting a 2004 4 cyl.. accord over ur prelude. UR---->

I just bought a 2004 accord, 4 cyl, auto. I love it. It handles great. The 4 banger is fine as far as power goes, but I personally wasnt looking for anything that fast. I did drive the 6, and it's a lot of engine for that car. The only thing that I'm not too crazy about is that you can feel every bump in the road.
I would totally say get one. I even got a good deal on mine price-wise Just make sure you test-drive one first.

i had a 5th gen lude also and have the ex-l sedan and it is way too slow. the only reason i got it was because they didn't make the sedan v6 with a 5spd. it's also too heavy and handles like crap. it's definitely not a sporty car but it works for meright now. plan on getting another 5th gen soon

why do you want to get rid of the lude??? anyways an RSX-S is the closest thing to replacing your lude. if you want 4 doors, i would get a wrx. if you want 2 doors and more torque get a V6 6sp coupe.
the altima is fugly, the maxima is better
the mazda 6 looks pretty sweet and the V6 makes good power and all for a fair price, but it's a mazda and i would be a little hesistant on how it will fair 5 years from now.

IMO I would not get the inline 4 Accord! Nothing wrong with the K series inline 4 engine however why not shoot for the V6 5spd automatic? You will not be disappointed in the V6 Accord! The new 7th Generation Accord is a better choice over the Nissan Altima or Mazda 6. Better resale value and you get more out of the Accord EX trim vs. the other two choices. The Accord whether its a 4 cyclinder or V6 is the better choice over the Nissan and Mazda unless you can get either one with the V6 engine cheaper than the 4cyclinder Accord.
Remember this guy is looking at getting an automatic not a 5spd or 6spd manual. The Nissan Maxima is a +$30K car where as the Accord V6 you can get for out the door for less than $25K.
