how to take rotor button off?
#5
it's a pain. there is a little screw that you need to get to. it is a machine screw and it is located on the shaft of the rotor. you have to pry back that piece of plastic to get to it, and if your engine is not at the right place (timing wise), you won't be able to reach it. and even if you do, the heat from under the hood has usually fused the little guy to the distributor shaft. that is when you either (a) panic and freak out, (b) put it back together and take it to the dealership and have them do it, (c) grab a dremel and pray you don't fork anything up, or (d) leave it as is.
