Cracked VIS carbon hood

Cracked VIS carbon hood
so...i live in west philadelphia...have to parallel park everyday, and my beautiful 2-month old vis carbon hood on my 99 sedan got cracked....i'm guessing by some a-hole in an suv that doesn't know how to respect other people's rides.:sqfawk:
anyway, its not a really huge crack; about 4 inches wide, but it's right smack in the middle of the front lip of the hood. the carbon fiber itself is not cracked of course, it's just the epoxy that surrounds it, so it shows up as a white line and looks hideous from anywhere 8 feet or closer if you look closely.
---so my question is, in an effort to hide it, would it look extremely gay if i put some sort of decal (probably a black one to look inconspicuous) over the crack to cover it up? I know that buying a new hood would be the best solution, but i don't exactly feel like dropping another 350+ bucks on another. maybe even a HAN sticker lol. let me know what you guys think, cuz this is really bummin' me out. thanks

Get the hood painted in a Fashion that hides the crack.
Have a large section in the middle of the hood color matched to your car or something. Then maybe leave the sides exposed so you can still advertise it's a CF hood.

sorry about not havin' pics....so i guess the general consensus is that no sticker or anything would look at all good, even if it was black and barely showed up... oh well--i do like the idea of painting the middle section though, i might have to do that

hmm....got another suggestion today from a friend, that possibly there would be some type of epoxy that could be injected into the hairline crack, similar to something a shop would repair a windshield with. if anyone has any experience with this or any real technical advice, please share
thanks
