noise from turning wheel
when i was parking, i keep hearing a noise when i turn my steering all the way to the left. The noise is a straining sound. it does it at the last 1/4 turn to the left...what is wrong?

check your power steering fluid. if its fine then i'd guess your powersteering pump is on its way.

mine has more of a metal creaking sound sometimes on some turns. i think it's due to the fact that i got in an accident before and had to have it fixed. maybe because the car's lowered. *shrug*

If its a squealling(sp?) sound then check the belt. I had some AEM pullies and it was making noise bc the belt was loose. If it's more of a clunk clunk noise when you turn, check the CV joints... they may be bad.

the pump tends to strain when the wheel reaches it limit because the pump cant pump the fluid anywhere anymore because the rack is at its limit... just dont turn the wheel so far... but it dosent hurt to check things either.
