so was removing the ash tray and cig lighter a big deal? Did it take alot of time to do? Or was it pretty straight forward removal?

that was the easiest part. very straight forward. i just trimmed right around it and used the bottom of the cig lighter area as a level. the hardest part about the cig lighter was removing it from the that hole, lol. that took a little while cause i wanted the ring around it. right now its just hangin from the side of the console near the back but it looks ok. i'll take a pic of that if you want hehe.

see in the first pic where there is a hole in the blank button next to the clock? thats where i'm gonna move the on button. i might also move the color/contrast wheels too, which was reccomended by a friend

I wonder if i could do that to my 4gen console..

I wouldnt mind upgrading this CVA-1005 to something newer... but i think these foldout LCD headunits are kinda hoopty now :P



too bad the 4th gen interior is flat on that console, not curved like yours.
