I run a red in the 5th gen and I am also going to be getting one for my Jeep.

get the blue top, it's the best optima batt out there... aka marine, btw red top is for like quads, and dirt bikes

You obviously know nothing about it or you wouldnt have said that about the red top.

Yeah if you got the flow the blue top is prime but its overkill if you arent running a big system....its like running a diesel battery in a car with no hydros.

The red is made for all applications and also comes in a size for ATVs but it is far from specific to them.

the red is good if you just want a very, very reliable batt. Yellow is the one you want if ur running a huge system, blue is just for bragging rights

I just went with a Die Hard Gold...$80 and 3 year replacement warranty...

Wow thanks for all the replies! I didnt get a reply right away, and was busy this week so I forgot to check. My bad.

The 'optima's' look to be overkill for my car. I just drive it, it doesnt run anything special (no beat, that would just give someone an excuse to steal it)

I will just go for a cheap battery and replace it as needed. I live in northern california, so conditions are not that bad.
