Three letters TSX = Accord Type R

Looks a bit better an the 04 accord IMO.

But 4 banger 6sp at 200hp.. not too bad

remember "if it aint a type R, it aint a tight car"

It's the Accord Type S in Europe. The Accord Type R puts out much more power and isn't as luxurious as the Accord Type S.

Also, you've got to remember that the TSX is a heavier car. IMO, I would prefer the AV6 with the 240hp engine that responds well to mods...

I'd get the manual regardless of engine, Honda doesnt have the best track record when it comes to automatic transmissions. On the power issue, true, the auto does suck a lot of life from the car, but keep in mind that the 7th gen 5-spd automatics are MUCH improved from the 5th gen and older slowmatics. Engine wise, I like Honda 4-cylinders for their superior efficiency, longevity, and reliability. However, the V6 is smoother, quieter, and a lot more powerful and responsive (although the new 2.4 blows the old F22 and F23 out of the water) If I were you, and those were my only two choices, I'd opt for the I-4 EX w/ leather and navi. However, being me, I'd take an EX V6 coupe w/ leather and 6-speed

I don't think being very very underpowered qualifies it as a type r...and especially being about 2 seconds slower in the 1/4 mile compared to the "non type r version".

TSX is a nice car and has a close sticker price to the other two models of accord but.....

I can get either accord for invoice whereas the TSX is still going for sticker

If you have the money and don't mind using a little more gas and paying a bit more insurance, then go for it.

I got the 4 Cylinder and it's fine for me. I wanted a cheap reliable car with relatively low operating cost. The 4 cyl has plenty of power to accelerate onto a freeway and plenty of power to move me around the relatively flat roads I regularly drive on.

Fuel economy on the highway is very similar for both, but the city mileage on the 4cyl is better.

If you drive on hilly roads or up mountains often, the V6 is probably a better choice. The 4 cylinder is just fine going up mountains, but sometimes I need to keep the RPMs up to maintain speed. The V6 will be more smooth.

I was debating this same issue when I got my car. I looked at it this way: The difference in price between the 4cyl and the V6 is almost the price of a used bike, which is what you'll need if you want to really have some fun.

or:

A crap load of beer
Suspension mods
Auto-X money for life

I only deal with the latter two, why waste money on something I don't want to experience?

Why is the 6-speed not a option? At this time of the year I have one at my dealer going for 25k with navi.
