will it be harder if your car does not have a stock tranny cooler?

It is an app for Auto's. Manuel tranny's fluid is much thicker then auto.

 

Most cars (like ours) have a stock automatic transmission cooler built into the radiator, and it's connected to the transmission via fluid lines, so it's all a matter of connecting the hoses...

Our MTs don't need a transmission cooler, unless you're doing something so crazy that you can actually get the thing to overheat. It would be pretty hard to install one because there aren't any fluid lines running from a MT to any stock cooler (radiator), and there wouldn't be anything pumping the fluid...

 

yeah, mainly because we had to use the brackets. plastic straws were way too thick to pass thru a/c condenser...

 

cool man ive got pretty much the same tranny cooler. To be honest I cant tell to much of a diff. i gues its one of those if its running right you dont notice it.

yeah, the only time I could barely notice anything was when I was at an autocross and it seemed to shift harder, but it could have been the cold weather, or me just BSing myself. Eh, not bad protection for $60...

 

on a 5th gen we mounted one right in the center under horns, perfect air flow. didnt use the rods either. bolt and nut to holes that were already in the frame.
