Yes. meaning new/better calipers, pads, lines and a better rotor. if they are slotted/drilled, then ok, but not going to pay a lot of money justr to get thoes rotors when reg rotors are just as good for normal driving.

i know what you're talking about. i've seen it done on my car when i had the AEM oe caliper bbk installed (before getting the brembos). i'm surprised more shops don't do it that way because it looked relatively simple. but i'd like to think there must be a good reason why most shops prefer using the press over just rubber malleting the hub out.

reasons shops dont do it that way:
1) they dont know about it.
2) they get more $$$ by charging to "press" them in and out.
3) they get more $$$ buy having to charge for hub replacement.

i can't respond to #1.
#2, yes, but it also takes 3x longer in labor time to remove the control arm bolt and unhinge everything to get it to a press. whereas the price difference is less than 2x. not very efficient use of time.
#3, my shop has yet to mention my hubs needing replacements.
*shrug*
just for the sake of discussion, i'll give my mechanic shop a call and ask them "their reason(s)" for not hammering out the hub/bearings.
when it comes down to it, Honda realized its own design flaws because they eventually moved over to the rotor-over-hub design. if anyone is to blame, Honda would be the one.

True but still got to admit that its a good design. IMO its stronger then rotor over hub.
Anyways.
How hard would it be to change to rotor over hub?
anyone know of a How-To?

its simple just get hte 98-99 2.3 CL hubs (it comes with studs), Same year rotors, accord bearnings, accord pads
All i did was take the entire knuckle off, took out teh 4 14mm bolts in front took out the 4 12mm bolts in back took a mallet and beat the shit out of the back of them until everything came apart and i had a bare knuckle and tehn had the bearnign and the hub pressed together botled it to the knukcle and ut it all back together
