Default 88 Accord - lack of power...tranny? fuel?

I have a 88 Accord LXi. It has 117k miles and seems to run fine, except for the problem I just started having. At low speeds (up to about 30 mph) it accelerates normally, but above that it doesn't want to accelerate.

The auto transmission shifts fine when it's supposed to (like if I floor it or get it up to a certain speed), but it won't go faster than about 60 mph on a flat surface. If there is even the slightest upward slope it won't even pass 45 mph.

Like I said, it runs fine...starts up good, smooth revving, seems fine up to about 30 mph...then it just doesn't have any power. It shifts and revs at the right rpm's, but doesn't speed up. Any thoughts?

I replaced the fuel filter and spark plugs, and emptied out the catalytic converter, but it didn't help.

It does shift past 3rd. When I do finally get it up to around 60 mph on a flat surface, it cruises fine in the right gear. But if I floor it to pass someone or just speed up to 65, forget it...it downshifts but goes no faster.

My father-in-law said it could be the O2 sensor, too. I just haven't had a chance to look into it.

I was fortunate enough to come across this Accord when it only had 78K actual miles. This is the first real problem I've had with it. I hope to get another 100K out of it.
