You are going to have a helluva time getting it out. I have gotten to where I just leave mine in because it is loud (don't have a catalytic converter). The only way I could get mine out was to get a bolt and put some washers on one end. They need to be small enough to fit in the holes on the silencer. Slide the bolt in the holes where the washers will catch on the back and just pull like hell. Chances are you will bend the silencer a little around the holes, but not noticeably. Spray some kind of lubricant on there also. Depending on how stuck it is, you may have to clamp down on the end of the bolts with pliers and then hammer it out. Good Luck.

I had the same problem before. Best thing to do is try to take it off when the exhaust is cold. Another trick that worked for me was taking some icewater, and pouring it on the outside of the muffler. For whatever reason, that contracted the metal enough for me to pull the silencer out.

What I did was take some plyers(pliers?) and pulled on the little edge in the middle where the exhaust fumes come out. I just kinad wiggled and pulled.
