I'd recommend a beater, for raising the car back up and then taking off the body kit seems like a hassle. Plus it will save the Honda for the inevitable rust all Honda's get after about seven years of life in the snow belt.

A beater would also be nice if your car is really "tricked out." If you go somewhere that is questionable (such as a bad part of town), bring the beater.

Oh, and I'd recommend a old Impreza as a beater. They're Boxer-4 engines, while a bit underpowered, will run up to 300,000 miles without a problem and they're AWD.

take off 17's, put on stock 15's with snow tires, adjust coilovers back to stockish height.

4x4 style!

I think you should buy a beater and just drive that around. If you're on a family insurance plan, it can even lower the overall by putting your car under your parents name. That's why I have my beater (even though I never drive it).
hehee.... ive taken my accord snowboarding tons of times..... just to let u guys know, 18" tires may look cool, but are pretty much useless in the snow
just take your kit off in the winter. it wouldnt take more than an hour to swap everything.
