Default Help! Need advice on selling a Honda...

To all the Honda experts out there, I am in desperate need of advice on how to best sell a Honda! I recently got a new job that came with a company car so I now have 2 cars in a one-person household.

I'm anxious to not have a monhtly payment anymore so I'm flexible on the price...but I've put ads in my local paper and online and no one has called. I've listed the price well below some other similar Hondas I've seen in classifides and still nothing. I've pampered the heck out of my car but I can't seem to attract interest...Any suggestions?

Thanks for any advice you may have!!

maybe tell us about your car ie: mods, model, and condition

it is difficult to sell cars privately these days that's for sure.

The specs on my Honda are:

2001, V6, Coupe, leather,...it's got pretty much everything. The condition is excellent! Any thoughts on the best geographic location to focus on selling my car? Do dealerships typically purchase cars from consumers without using the car as a trade-in for a car they are selling?

Again, any suggestions are really appreciated!!!

Carmax is the only dealer I know that will purchase used vehicles.

Try the Auto trader if you really want to sell your car with good pictures.

:werd: and if you have aftermarket parts try to put them all back to stock. Good luck.

Good advice. Also, if your car is Honda Certified, then that is a HUGE selling point to a lot of buyers.....well, if it looks stock anyways.

unfortunately, takes time to sell a car, unless you're asking way less than what it's worth .... But make sure you get it checked out by a dealer or something and make sure you've cleaned the car and waxed it, armor al, etc.... Post up some flyers in local colleges and coffee houses, that'll get you more calls than simple classifieds that very few people read unless they're looking for an older (read: cheap) car.

damn those are nice, but the problem is it's worth too much money to sell privately. a person buying that car will most likely need to finance it and you can't provide that while a dealer can very easily. also, some people feel safer dealing with a dealer than a private person.
