You live in California i believe the 00-02 accords were all ULEV or SULEV engine putting out 148hp damn exhast manifold.
98- 99 and some 00 put out 150hp. I have a SLOW-O-MATIC I4 and its pretty quick off the line. I read that the I4, 5 speed is as fast as the V6 sometimes faster on the quartermile.

when the engine is cold it makes a clunk when going into reverse cause the tranny is operating at full line pressure and is not fully warmed up yet, my car shifts damn smooth into reverse and all the other gears after it has warmed up, but i get the clunk too when its cold and i put it into reverse, its normal
and i4 manuals quicker than V6 autos in the quarter mile?
you must show me this!
and I'd recommend the manual too, these autos are not reliable, that 1-2% that honda claims is bull!
If you do end up getting a V6 make sure its an 00-01 like someone mentioned before, that way your good for 8 yrs/100k miles
