Default H22a into automatic 5th gen

Do I need a transmission ECU for my automatic swap H22a into my 94 EX accord?

You should just need a Prelued auto ECU, nothing else.

OBDI cars use a separate auto tranny controller, so if you get a 92-96 JDM H22 auto swap it should come with the appropriate auto trannt controller.

damn, all I got was an ECU for the swap......no auto tranny controller. Will my stock one from the accord work?? Where can I get one? Does Ebay have them?

the accord one will work to run the tranny, but you want the H22 auto ECU since the accord one will shift at accord shiftpoints and the H22 one shifts firmer.

i would first get in touch with who you bough the motor from, try ebay, try the classifieds here, check out board.hondasociety.com (hybrid forum), and other motor distributors like Hmotor.com.

at a junk yard, shouldn't cost you more than around $40-50 for the auto control unit, but the Accord one will work. Use the Prelude P13 ECU though, if you don't have one of those, that can be kinda pricey. $100-200 is the average I've seen personally.
