So is it possible to get the Accord FP package shocks and springs without getting a body kit?

Dur? What's wrong with a TSX?

My buddy has a 00-Prelude (stock), my 00-ccord with keenly picked suspension components now out handles his Prelude.

The 00 Lude was based on the gen 5 Accord, later Accords and all other large Honda cars went to rear multi-link suspensions. Way easier to tune then upper and lower stamped control arm plates.

Nothing wrong with TSX, just missing some hp and torque

Compared to what? That motor will outgun an H22.
And it does it all without the cloud off tailpipe crap the H22 pollutes with. And it will cruise down the express way at 80mph at a decent RPM unlike the Ludes 4000 mark.

nothing worng with 4000 rpm in the lude it is DESIGNED to be that way. most cars will cruise at around half thei max RPM at about 80mph in 5th gear. meaning an engine desinged to rev to about 6000 rpm will be at 3000rpm...isnt an accord right between 3000 and 3500 rpm on the freeway??
and pollution? say what? this is a honda we are talking about. sure it may not meet the ULEV or LEV standards but that doesnt mean its a polluter. As of 1999 EVERY single honda sold in the US new met the LEV standard.
sure the accord may be ULEV or SULEV....but that changes as soon as you put an intake and exhaust on the car. it sounds to me like youa re jsut bitter that you cannot afford to get a faster car....
jsut as a side note. i live in texas and they run tail pipe emissions tests on a dyno here to simulate the load of driving. They base the emissions standards on the original engine in the car. My civic with an h22a passed....based on standards set for the 1.5 liter d15b7 (102 hp). so dont tell me that an h22a make a cloud of crap out the tail pipe.

i would also concur that the TSX is underpowered. i ent in with a friend to test drive one. my friend has a 95 accord automatic with bolt ons. ihe test drove an auto TSX and it was a lot nicer than an accord, has better suspension than a stock accord, but hte power was not that noticeablu better than an accord. aceleration felt as slow as an auto ccord as well...

NOW if Honda did something interesting, like offering the 240 hp v6 in the TSX, I'd be interested in it. Or if they would offer the 200hp RSX engine in the Civic Si, I'd consider that car. As it is the only resonable replacements for the 'Lude are either the RSX Type S or the Accord 6 spd coupe. The S2K does sound interesting to me but I really don't wasnt a convertable (and it looks goofy to me with the hardtop).

The new TL IS interesting, but WHY NO COUPE (CL) anymore???
And as far as the TL is concerned, it getting up in price to where I'd start condering other cars with rear wheel drive platforms (350 Z, Infinity G35, BMW 3 series)

That doesn't leave me with much in the Honda-Acura camp.

1) I want a coupe (not a 4 door, not a convertable)

2) I'd like a little more power than the 'Lude.

3) I'd like to have at least the same level of handling as the Prelude.

In favor of the Accord coupe is that seating and driving positon are more comfortable to me than the Prelude. It just need a little better edge in handling (and to be perfect braking).
