Default How tight for wheel bolts?

(with a torque wrench) How tight should the wheels on a 2003 model be? Is it around 85 lb ft2?

I think those specs should be found easily in the owners manual(?), and if not, should be in your haynes/helms/whatever. If you don't have one you should get one soon! . However, I do not know off the top of my head right now - sorry I can't help you directly.

I've just checked out the manual. Surprisingly, it's not in there! Funny to say, but the wiper lengths aren't mentioned either...

Thanks Elite. Supposed to be getting my winter tires put on tomorrow...

Hmm, out of curiosity, does anyone know how tight the bolts are when an air gun is used?

There are a lot of cars that has this as torque specs on thier lugnuts. I think every honda/acura in existence use this as a torque spec for wheel lugs.

too tight. never use an impact wrench to tighten. (esp with a wheel lock key!! ive seen dealers do this...)

yep, I go :nono: whenever an impact gun goes within 5 feet of my car. It's good for me to go out there and watch them work on my car, instead of sitting inside and drinking coffee.
