Default pls help: engine producing unpleasant smelling smoke

hello...
i was driving to school today, about a 20 mins drive.
the car's generating an unpleasant smoke with a burning odor from
the engine. the smoke is coming out of the manifold, fuel rail and valve cover.
i just had the engine oil changed three days ago by a professional.

what could possible cause this problem?
thanks

Residual oil that leaked from the filter onto the exhaust pipe.

^ what he said. Nothing to worry much though, just the spill oil that got heat up. After a few days, it'll be gone.

Ya, oil leaks from time to time from the valve cover, and also, if you don't have your valve cover breather disconnected, oil gets into the intake manifold as well ... I'd not worry about it, it'll go away on it's own, or get some simple green and clean it off.
