K&N filter clean...overoil?

Default K&N filter clean...overoil?

just cleaned my K&N filter, let it sit for a pretty long time, maybe 3-4 hours, mm just put the oil on, is it possible to pit too much? hope not

All you need to do is lightly coat the filter. Too much is a waste.

i accedently soaked it it wasnt red enough for me haha, just wondered if it did any harm.

Just make sure you sit the filter at an angle for a little while so the excess oil will drain off, and then maybe towel off if you really really soaked it.

how detrimental is not cleaning it...cuz mine's is on pretty solid...can't seem to get it off

a dirty filter actually traps more dirt, but your not letting as much air in. if you can't get it off, use a paint brush too clean off the particles and then re-oil it.

did ur filter come on ur intake? it shouldnt be that stuck on...if it came with it attached it probably wont come off...and i dont recomend cleaning it with just a brush, because u have to spray cleaner and spray water from the clean side out...if you just brush it a little it wont get the particals out of the filter, and when u reoil it. it wil trap the dirt there..and prolly just fawk up ur filter.

reread the K&N instructions it says you can do that if you don't have enough time.

it's stuck on...cuz the frickin clamp wont loosen...so i can't get it off the piping...got an aem cai btw
