When i got my 16's(monday) i wieghed the stock steelies with the stock crappy firestone tire and they weighed 35lbs a piece. My 16's with the tire weighed 42lbs and to be honest i really do not feel that big of a difference. And like some one said before if it made my car a little slower then it is all the more reason to give it more power.

u guys have helped out quite a bit, however i'm still not really sure which way i wanna go right now. im pretty much brand new to the import scene and am learnin a lot of ****, but i still cannot decide if i should go for these rims or not...money is real tight right now so buyin rims that are gonna make me real slow for a while is outta the question. i really want a nice clean set of rims w/tires, but dont wanna spend a lot of cash on them. i dont care about losin a lil bit of acceleration, but i just dont wanna be pissed that i bought rims and now im slow as a turtle, u know?

so heres what im lookin at:

http://www.groupbuycenter.com/buy.asp?row_id=6207

or 16" Enkei RS6 WITH PIRELLI P6000 195/50R16 tires for $700.

im very anxious about gettin some rims, but dont wanna go in the wrong direction. i've got about $8-900 for rims/tires so whatever i decide on has to be something that i will be pleased with that i bought. so with that, do u guys think it would be a good investment or would i just be wastin my money and becoming more sluggish? also, which deal do u think is better and which set would u go with?

**if anybody knows a place where i can get lighter wheels for around my 8-900 pricerange please speak!! thanks and sorry it was long **

im not goign to tell you what to do it is your money.. i center my mods around performance, and bang for the buck.. my rims were $400 for all 4 brand new, are 15's and olny weigh like 15lbs... they are (with tires) shorter than stock so i bough cheap lighter rims that look bad @ss and made my car faster and handle better, to me that is a no brainer... 15's on a civic with a moddest drop is the best in show meets go.. but thats JUST my opinion

You will feel a very slight decrease in torque, but the wider/softer tires will improve handling by far. To me a daily driver it's totally worth it. Hell, most of the time I can't even get above the speed limit in Atlanta traffic so 2 tenths off my 1/4 mile is not noticed.

yes... and no i never say they're spoon

but yeah i love emm... they seem to WORK well.. ive heard the whole shiny flat black / satin flat black thing, but to me that would only matter if you were TRYING to pass them off (which im not)and from a quality stand point they seem to be good... they have kumhos mounted on them... great bang for the buck..

couldn't have said it better.., but you know i was surprised, i figured for 400 bills the color would last like a week, and they would bend and or crack (i mean for 400 buicks i didn't expect a whole lot.. lol), but honestly.. they (rota) are GREAT not a single problem yet.. **end rota commercial***

i see you get the back door pricing special also

I love my gun metal rota slipstreams and bridgestone potenza s-03 pole position combo... then again who wouldn't? The tires cost 100 more than the rims lol. Not the cheapest tire to get but they are deffinently worth every little penny when it comes to handling and wet traction.
