Then you must sucks at swaps. With all the info h22 swaps are easy now a days. In my opinion a h22 swap into an eg is easier than any b series swap into an ek.

IMO, if you want 12s, and an all around good car not only made for straight lines but for auto-x and daily driving then you'll need to invest a good $10k into the car. This is what my friend invest in his which runs low 12s. BUT he did do lots of work. H22, fully built from intake manifold to block, T3/T4 turbo, nitrous, full Type R conversion front and rear for 5 lug, coilovers, etc....etc....etc....damn hatch looks stock from afar but if you notice the little things...watch out. Visually all you see is Rotas, drop, and exhaust. Look inside, full roll cage, Sparco seats, full interior and carpet, then you got the 5 lugs and street slicks, beauty of an H22 sitting in the bay, nice NX bottle in the rear, super sweet ball bearing turbo up front, etc...it's going to cost.

yea....that wouldn't be the best autocross car.
if you want an n/a 12 second car, just swap in an h22, get some bolt-ons (cai/header/exaust+test pipe), strip the car down, get sticky tires/light rims, a nice hard suspesion, a nice tough clutch+flywheel, and learn to drive on a track....it's very different than on the street.

12s before turbo/nitrous setup and he mainly does it for street racing and drag strip. Auto-x he does pretty good but of course he has to be at a high rpm to shoot through turns and once he's on it...spin spin spin. He fawks around with it to practice his turning and to see if he can keep up with the high compression NA motors...with the turbo/nitrous setup...probably runs high 10s low 11s. Haven't spoken to him in over a year, about 6 months ago he told me the extra turbo/nitrous setup. You take the eta off from there on the 1/4.
