ABS is pretty much the same plastic that your cordless phone or monitor is made out of. It's quite sturdy, but not flexible.
Urethane is pretty much what you have in terms of stock bumpers. Very flexible, but not indestructable. But minor bumps and scrapes will not affect it's shape.
Fiberglass is rigid but also the most fragile of the three. This is the cheapest way to produce most aftermarket bumpers which is why it's the medium of choice.

If you are debating for body kits, get urethane because it wont crack and is pretty flexible, if you can afford it. Abs is the best thing really but as far as i know they only make it for lips, they do have ever make it for sideskirts, if you want to do the lip thing which actually looks nicer most of time anyway
