So you are saying if the bulb is blue in color, but lights up white, that it's illegal?
I wouldn't really worry about it. Like said above, a lot of ricers use hyperwhites in their turn signals. I have two guys at work that do the same here in NJ. (thank god they are not ricers though).

I used silver coated super whites that came out slightly blue, cops said something about it, but no fix it ticket.
I currently run all superwhites. I don't like the stock yellow-ish, but I may eventually change to all amber.
I might check out the silver visions because I don't like having a blue shadow nor an amber shadow.
