Help, broken shifter

Help, broken shifter
Bought a used del sol recently which was basically stock, but had a short shifter kit installed. Sure enough, the aftermarket POS broke. During a fast 2-3 shift it snapped off in my hand, breaking at base of the shaft. I don't like the feel of short shifters on these cars anyway, does anyone have a stock shifter/shaft (would I need anything else?) lying around that you'd like to sell? If not, what do these things run from the dealer, any particular source folks use for factory parts?
Additionally, any advice on how to replace the shifter, perhaps an online how-to. Hopefully no crazy tricks like "drop the transmission first, then..."
TIA,
-Jonathan

JUNKYARD!!!! NEVER EVER EVER pay for a part like that from the dealership. It's a chunk of steal... At a junkyard, you can get a stock shifter for less than 10 bucks if you hit the right place.

Thanks for the responses guys, I emailed the guy in AZ about his shifter. Yeah, I was going to go to the junkyard, not the dealer...but you can generally estimate j-yard prices from dealer prices (that's how they set the prices around here, 40-50% usually.)
Also, I didn't buy the POS short shifter, as I said, it was on the car when I bought it. FWIW, I've seen all kinds of short shifters break, from crap brands to B&Ms. Never been a fan.
....well maybe on an LS1, that's one hell of a long row in those things
