some brand names that come to mind are Tein, Spoon, JIC, Apexi, Tanabe, HKS, H&R, and some other ones

Tein's seem to be a popular choice

Best plain old shock = Koni Yellow

Best sleved C/O = ground control

Real C/Os = too much money :exnbp:

I dunno, I've never been able to justify those expensive threaded-bodied coilovers. Too many possible drawbacks, too much money... No real performance advantage over a sleved.

Although that JIC in-cockpit damper adjustment is :grinpimp:
