depo fogs

To rule out bad fogs, hook up the fogs directly to a power source momentarily to see if it comes on.

how could i do that?...arent the still going to have to go through the harness and still have to be switched on?

you mean just cut the wires heading from the lights themselves and test them on the battery, then tape them back up?

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that is what that means. Relays can be tricky...

so if i cut off the plugs, hook fog up to battery and the lights come on...might mean the relay is bad?...i guess illl find out if i can pick one of those fawkers at radioshack in the morning...

Well actually, if the relay clicks, it's probably ok. On the relay, there are 4 wires, right? one goes to the switch, one goes to ground, one goes to power, and one goes to the fogs... try connecting the one to power and the on to the fogs together. if they don't come on then, I don't know what to tell you.

is there a fuse in the fuse holder? sounds like the relay isnt getting any power from the battery

yeah, theres definitely a fuse in the fuse holder and its still in one piece...
i was just curious...so i took out the fog light and hooked one of the wired up to a battery. there is a blue wire and a black one, i grounded the back one and hooked the blue one to the battery...nothing happened, but im not even sure so,mething was supposed to happen....ive tried everything else...this is stupid

If I was there, I could figure out the problem in 10 minutes h:

you have a blue wire? thats odd


keep trying diff combonations of wires up to the battery. If you did it right, and the fuse is good (are you SURE its good, REALLY REALLY SURE? try a new fuse?) that you may have a bad wiring harness.
