Yeah it sounds like a starter problem. Try to tap on the starter with a hammer or something.

there is no clicking sounds like when the battery is dead..would that be an indication of a starter problem or would the starter click no matter what?

Battery or the starter. If your battery is dead, then the alternator went out most likely. Check you battery, then check the starter.

Yeah it sounds like you need a starter. But I wouldn`t get one right away first I would see if it acts up again, if so then you will know what to replace.

If i'm correct, you can go to Advanced and get them to test your starter, battery, and such.

Yep, get it tested at Advance or AutoZone for FREE! That will tell you right away what your problem is. Make sure to check the connections. Sometimes the little wire gets loose on the starter solenoid and won't start. Just crush it a little with needle nose pliers to make a tight fit.
