D16Z6... hmm, that's what I have. I think the stock WHP is around 103. I've heard of people having good luck running 5-8 PSI on all stock internals and it lasts. What matters most when running unmodified is your fuel management settings. Jkan will tell you all about it...

ok, was searching the web, and found the complete b18c1
for 2800.
then i found a h22a complete for 1950.
Engine Code: H22A (Complete!)

H22A costs a lot to install do to custom fab work.
Look into a B18B, non vtec, cheap, amazing for turbo and you'll have more torque in the long run the a vtec engine.

IMO, i would not get a b16a for the severe lack of torque. I rode in my friends hatchback that has a b16a engine swap. Absolutely no low end power. then again, if you put some nitrous in that, it would be amazing. Nitrous would give it some of that missing low end torque.

A swap is expensive. A turbo setup for your car is not as expensive and will yield more whp and less of a headache. If you're determined to swap, build the motor while it's out of the car, that way you have something to look forward to when you do swap it in.

so what your saying is put money into the stock dx motor and with enough work it should be decent until motor dies, then swap? im new (only 16) and would like a car that looks nice (all jdm) and is respectably fast, not ungodly fast
