D16Z6... hmm, that's what I have. I think the stock WHP is around 103. I've heard of people having good luck running 5-8 PSI on all stock internals and it lasts. What matters most when running unmodified is your fuel management settings. Jkan will tell you all about it...

ok, was searching the web, and found the complete b18c1

then i found a h22a complete for 1950.

Engine Code: H22A (Complete!)
Year: 92-01
Valve train: DOHC, VTEC, 16 Valves
Transmission:Hydraulic
Displacement:2157cc
Horsepower:200 @ 6800rpm
Torque:161 lb-ft @ 5500rpm
Compression:10.6:1
Redline: 7200rpm

Engine Code:B18C (GSR)
Year:94-01
Valve train: DOHC, VTEC, 16 Valves
Transmission: Hydraulic
Displacement:1797cc
Horsepower:178 @ 7600rpm

isn't the h22a a better engine? or am i missing a key here?

H22A costs a lot to install do to custom fab work.

Look into a B18B, non vtec, cheap, amazing for turbo and you'll have more torque in the long run the a vtec engine.

what axles are best for a h22a swapped into a hatch, (J/W), and would new axles be needed for a b18c1(gsr) or b18b1 (Ls) swap?

IMO, i would not get a b16a for the severe lack of torque. I rode in my friends hatchback that has a b16a engine swap. Absolutely no low end power. then again, if you put some nitrous in that, it would be amazing. Nitrous would give it some of that missing low end torque.

No matter what swap you do you need new axels.

A good swap should come with everything you need.
Once again an H22A swap is a LOT of work.

A swap is expensive. A turbo setup for your car is not as expensive and will yield more whp and less of a headache. If you're determined to swap, build the motor while it's out of the car, that way you have something to look forward to when you do swap it in.

so what your saying is put money into the stock dx motor and with enough work it should be decent until motor dies, then swap? im new (only 16) and would like a car that looks nice (all jdm) and is respectably fast, not ungodly fast

If you can't afford a turbo kit, you won't be able to affor a nice (JDM) looking car or be respectably fast. Just reality.... A basic turbo kit will make the car more than respectable...
