i'd stick with honda MTF for manual trannies. Anything else is just to risky. My friend with redline fluid in his tranny got grinding, and switched back to Honda MTF right away.

It's all I'll ever run.

HONDA OEM, synthetics (redline) are to slipery for honda trannys and most likly will cause grinding...

Genuine Honda MTF---you need at max 2 quarts for a 6th gen civic

I pick them up 4 qts at a time from the dealership costs $16 including tax for all 4

Sounds like you need a Sheperd tranny, my friend just put his back in as well as an ACT 2600... talk about whiplash.

will the oil drain out the same way as an auto and how would u check the oil level?
