oh i understand all of my mods are minimal. I wouldnt even call them mods i still say my engine is stock is someone asks. The reason im asking this is because of this site people have talked about they get raped all the time bye cars which arnt much more expensive than honda's. I have a 7 year honda certified warranty on my car so i would get some good money for it and only having 45k on it. So i was thinking is it just worth it?

Thats what im talking about the amount of money that i could use to buy a turbo or swap and bring me around low 14's or so i could buy a ls-1 and trade my car and have about a grand left and run 12's with that! Someone rand a ls-1 in the 1/4 and got a 12.83 all stock no mods. just think some gears and bolt ons. Also where we get 3-4 whp from bolt ons ls-1's get 30-50 hp.

Yeah..$35K for a car that comes from the factory with a missaligned frame:lmfao:

I wish I could see your face when you get spanked by an import costing 1/2 as much with mods as your car.

not taking sides at all... after all i do have a 98 ex. But a 98 ls-1 you can get for the price of a 99-00 si and its as fast as a 04 mach 1 and you could get a 96 cobra for around 13k-16k and its same deal. And since i could get around 11k for my car( just look at what other cars with 7 year warranty sell for) it might just be worth it.

i like late 80's mustangs a LOT.. domestic cars are GREAT for drag racing..

it is all in what you want to get out of it.. if you want a drag car then yeah probably get a domestic..

yes it is drag racing im into. I wouldnt even consider a v8 powerhouse for autocross. Im sorry for asking about domestics , i love my honda just as much as the next guy. But i really just want to keep it N/A maybe nitrous and what would that get me with my honda... a 14.5? Not saying thats not fast or anythin better than stock but with a ls-1 or built mustang i could get a 11 maybe 10 in the 1/4. i prolly wont even sell my car for a while, its just everytime i hear that low rumble run bye me it makes me want to sell my car, haha

:slap:
35k on an ugly mustang
there are reason why japanese engineering and manufacturing outperform that of the US companies.
secondly 35K!!

1992 hatch - 2500
fully built b18 sleeved with pistons, rods, precision sc60 turbo, custome equal length all piping built tranny hondata = about 7k in parts and tuning.

25k less and would prolly kill that stang

the face of the stang owner with the mullet = priceless

that sounds cool and all... but thats alot of work that someone may not want to go through. Hehe i guess thats why people still buy those v8's.

And no offense but if they took that 35k mustang and threw some $200 4.10 gears in there it would own that civic. Then just throw some bolt ons on it for even more power.

Not trying to take sides but theres 2 different groups imports and domestics i dont really even think they should race each other personally its almost like racing a suv v.s a van hehe
