Default I avoided being owned today

My Civic was broken into this morning around 3. The guy worked my window down using the palms of his hands. Once inside he saw that I had the AUTO LOCK on my brake, the faceplate off of the stereo and the alarm was still on with the starter kill.

My dad woke up and surprised the crap out of him and he ran to a truck his buddy had parked next to our house and they peeled out pretty quick. The cops came out and dusted the car but the prints were pretty smudged. Then the cop admitted they took a while to get to my house because they had just finished eating. WTF?!?!

I'm just happy the column is still in tack, the ignition wasn't touched and the car in general is still here.

Glad everything is fine.

I just heard that some thieves boost a whole car and then just turnaround and sell it for only $700... It really is sad.

Yes, especially when you buy a nice car for $700 and then have the police roll up on you.

This is why I want to invest in an alarm with a remote pager and a ridiculous number of sensors. I hate thieves. Sorry you had to even deal with that stuff.

I love using my garage. A great place to wax and keep an eye on over night.
