Synthetic worth it?
Is synthetic fluids worth it on Hondas? Always used Castrol GTX regular oil and regular Fram filters on my other Hondas. But $30 in oil and filter seems kinda high for one oil change but is it worth it in the long run? I just purchased this Civic with 115k and was wondering if it'll be ok to run it? Or worth it? Anyone run Synthetic and do you notice a better running vehicle?

see in investing into some new oil filters too,..fram sucks ass,...they are notorious for leaving the O ring behind which will prevent the new filter from going on properly,..which in turns,..leaks oil,...im a mobil 1 tri-synthetic oil user,..and i use mobil 1 filters

Indeed I know about the oil ring...but I usually check thoroughly on it when I change it. With the Mobil1 synthetic and Mobil1 filter...how many miles do you get on it or how many miles do you change the oil and filter?

Widebody, what kind of filter do you use?
Dimi, I use Mobil1 and like it. Mobil1 and changing it myselft costs about the same as paying someone else to put cheap oil in it. I think it is worth it.

I personally think if you live in a hot or cold climate and value your engine synthetics are a better investment. Plus you can wait a little longer between oil changes (not filter changes) with synthetic.
PLus the viscosity stays more consistent with synthetic oils compared to their conventional oil counterparts. So your engine stays protected better from metal to metal contact.

Ok, stupid question here. If I just change my filter and not my oil, will oil go all over, or will it be just like it normally is when I change oil where a little oil comes out. Sorry for asking, but I've always drained my oil before I took the filter off.
