Default Best tranny for a built d16z6 (400whp)?

My friend is building up a d16z6 that will be a daily driven 400whp turbo monster. However, he is quite confused as to which manual tranny he should use. I suggested that he go w/a tranny that had a tad longer gearing in the 3rd 4th and 5th gear, since his car is a turbo and will have full boost longer.

Thus, which tranny would be the best for my friend? Should he just work on the tranny that comes w/the d16z6, or should he swap it for something that even better? He wants the best tranny out there and is going to use a quaife lsd to harness the power to the front end.

any help will be greatly appreciated

a d series tranny with lsd from japan. i think the motor is d15b??? i dunno..
but LSD is what's important.

if you just want longer gearing i believe the dx has longer gear than an si or ex would. doesn't really matter all of 'em have long gearing already.

either way whatever he gets make sure he gets an lsd.

just get a quaife, factory lsd's are not helical the more you push them the more they'll give out.

with 400 whp in a sohc he's gonna be breaking trannys every week anyways, btw i have an extra HX one for sale if anyone wants it for 200+shipping (no grinds)

i think we're gonna go w/the tranny that came w/the d16y8, but we're gonna pair it to the quaife LSD, whatcha think? We're definitely gonna solidify it, but from my research, the tranny on the d16y8 is a bit more durable than the one on the d16z6.

any feedback will be greatly appreciated

Which Civic Si? There are five different ones with five different engines/drivetrains.
