Default will the bullshit ever end?

My car got broken into last night... they took my deck and amp . Luckily they left my speakers, and my roommate was borrowing my sub at the time, so thats OK. They also left a bunch of car parts that I had sitting around, (which is good because there was about $200 in parts, fuel relay, brake booster, and two brake MCs, in a box ripe for the taking). Damn civics for being so easy to break into... I had been thinking about getting an alarm, but I admit it was pretty low on my list (doesn't make the car any faster). Although maybe its good that it was so easy to break into, because on first inspection, it doesn't look like they've damaged anything. I filed a popo report, just on principle, but I'm pretty sure I'll never see that stuff again. Accumulating bad karma seems to be a popular passtime these days. Neways, thought I'd share.

Yeah my car was broken into back in 1997. I was supposed to get an alarm the following week, which I kick myself for not doing first.

Found out that the shop who installed my stereo system had a 75% theft rate according to my insurance company and they were doing an undercover investigation along with the township police. Apparently one or two of the installers would install the stereos so they would just pull out quickly, and they would see how to break into the car quickly. Don't know whatever came of that.

But the following week had the alarm installed and now 2003 never had a problem with all my cars with alarms. I also now use the Autolock on my 2000 Civic Si just to be safer. And when I go away I take out the ECU fuse, lock the steering wheel, and hide the key.

yeah, I noticed a couple of shady looking guys looking my car over when I was at the shop picking up one of my MCs, but I figured they were just looking at my brakes or something... :dunno: I certainly have no evidence one way or another. I'm thinking of just selling off the rest of the stereo and getting a cheapo deck and stock speakers.... I've always kinda regretted getting such a big stereo.

Sucks bro, I know how it is though. I had my driver side window busted in twice in one week. First time they took my HU, sub/box, amp, cell phone, 30-40 CDs, and some other small stuff. Second time a POS HU i had in trunk, wiring harness from good HU they forgot first time and a roadside emergency kit, :dunno:. So I know how it feels bro, hope you get your stuff back and find the fags that did it. Good luck!

I had a 93 civic and that was broken into at least 3 or 4 times, I have had a total of 7 subwoofers stolen 3 head units and two amps. Also my Short Ram intake was taken I did have an alarm on the car but Best Buy is stupid and does not know how to intsall alarms. So they were able to get in my car without the alarm going off. One time I had my car parked in the driveway and I heard my alarm going off, I went outside to see what was going on I saw that some Idiot threw a big ass rock into my back window Recently mine and my brothers car was broken into and they stole his subwoofer, his ski jacket mine and his backpack for school, his oil cap, and his owners manual. He has a 97 Integra GSR.

The only time my car has been broken into was a week before I bought it while it was sitting at the dealership. The drivers side window was smashed in and they took the Kenwood HU....

I am still finding litl pieces of glass today...

My alarm has a back up battery (hidden) and wires have been hidden too so you cannot cut the wires (well it's difficult). I was also thinking of getting a pager system.
