To tell you all the truth, the pager systems are a waste of money. I used to sell them when I worked at circuit city. I usually told ppl to shy away unless they absolutely wanted it. Besides they have a real short range. If you have a DEI alarm, the pager system has a really short range, somewhere between 500-1000ft and doesn't work to well in some buildings (ie. metal framed). Now, on the other hand, the viper 790xv and it's clifford equivalent (both DEI alarms) have a built in graphic pager system that, from my experience, works from up to a half a mile away and through any building material.

IMO if you get an alarm, don't buy anything to add onto it besides the glass tampering sensor and backup battery.
Hood/Trunk pin switches, prox. sensors, etc. are just a waste. Unless....you are truely lazy like me and want trunk pop. :-D

I'm glad my car came with an alarm, its nothing special but its a little extra insurance. Also I riveted my amp onto the back side of my seat, so unless they brought a drill and bits with them to steal it, good luck getting it off.
The subs and amp arent worth much anyways, I just bought stuff thats fairly decent for sound but still cheap. subs were like $100 for the pair. The only thing I would really miss if they stole would be the HU and all the infinity stuff in the doors, which i doubt they'd tear into the doors to get.
Plus I barely ever go very far from my car.
Cliffnotes:
bolting stuff down and making it hard to steal may not always work, but at least you'll annoy that ****er that stole it a little more.

That sucks....I have a buddy who has a new supra show car that has everything you can imagine done to it.....fully tuned, nos, twin turbo everything...some ass broke into it just to piss him off didnt steal much of anything but destroyed the interior and ripped out dash gauges

THat pisses me off immensley; There just is no respect for anything nowadays. I was visiting my parents, who live in a predominantly racist neighborhood, and parked my car in my DRIVEWAY. I was woken up to the sound of shattering glass, but by the time i got outside, the racist punks had already left. Nothing was taken, just some rich suburban motherfukkers with nothing else to do were out doing their thang. Fukking punks, sucks to hear it man.

I know I was in NYC about 30 blocks from my car and my pager went off. That freaked me out. Luckily when I got back to the car later it was only triggered by someone leaning or pressing on the car.
