Default Ask simple and basic questions part Tres..

Unstuck the other thread felt it was getting too long. So if you have some questions just post in here, and we'll try to get 'em answered.

The old thread is still around, you'll just have to search for it.

I've got a question myself. Rear wheel bearings, anyone replace 'em? I think I need to do mine, looking for some input.

Also. Main relay for the fuel pump, where is it under the dash exactly?

Blow-Off valves......can you have two of them if your car is bi-turbo? whats the dif between a blow off and a diverter....B o V's take the gasses out of the turbo and send them where? How come superchargers don't have blow off valves?

Diverter valves are similar to BOV's. They discharge the air back into the system, instead of into the atmosphere like regular BOV's.

Diverter valves are what most stock cars have that come turbo'd from the factory.

I'm not usre why'd you want two blow off valves someone else my know. But you dont' need two blow off valves for 2 turbo setups.

Blow off valves discharge air from the charge pipe (from intercooler [if there is one] to the throttle body). Most of the time it's released into the atmosphere.

I believe super charged systems have blow off valves or diverter valves.

That depends on which end of the car you are talking about. A larger front sway bar will make your car harder to turn (it will understeer more). A larger rear sway bar will make the car corner more neutral but can also make the car oversteer too. For the street you want a little bit of both to be able to dial in.

I am interested in an Apexi V-AFC, what are the benefits of having a V-tec controller?

Really none if you have no other mods. But with the VTEC AFC you should take it to a dyno shop to get it tuned properly.
