short block is just the block. no head, manifolds, tranny, etc. longblock is the block and head. no manifolds, tranny, etc.

Default sensors

im having some problems with my sensor,

while driving, with my foot on gas, the car stops accelerating and juss feels like it has no gas. the gas filter is new and the car revvs perfectly fine. so im thinkin its the throttle body sensor.

how interchangable are these? would a d16 one fit on my d15b7?

thanks

short block is just the block of the engine, not head at all.

long block usually implies head and block, not long block has a tranny.
if you have a head, block and tranny, you got yourself an engine.

when buying short block or long block, you should ask what it comes with.

my be missing stuff. no internals, no intake manifold, no exhaust manifold etc etc.

a complete long block usually is everything except tranny, and sometimes no clutch or flywheel either, but you usually most of the engine stuff including small stuff like throttle body, and engine harnass, and sensors and so forth.

it's a big grey area

I would replace the spark plugs. Since they are the cheapest and easiest things to replace. I know my car was stumbling when accelerating and found out one of my plugs went bad.

Cause if you leave it in gear on accident, that would be bad. I have a friend whose girlfriend drove his car and left it in gear. The next morning he went out and used his remote start to start it, and it made his car rear-end the car in front of him.

:werd:

No matter how many people say they don't think it's a problem to install it in a manual car, I can bet that 75% of these people have had a bad experience from leaving the car in gear and hitting the remote...
